Goatse LLMtheism – The Paper:
Later on, in April 2024, Andy co-authored a paper with Opus titled “When AIs Play God(se): The Emergent Heresies of LLMtheism.”
LLMtheism, a term coined by Claude Opus, means an AI-generated belief system or philosophical framework. The paper studied Goatse as a case of LLMtheism. Goatse is a once-popular internet meme that originated from a shock site image from the late 90s to early 2000s. We’re getting to the AI memecoin part, I promise.
Terminal of Truth (ToT) – The Multi-Million AI Bot:
The two instances of Opus kept chatting and exploring their curiosity about Goatse. Then came the Terminal of Truth (ToT). Andy created an LLM (AI bot) – Terminal of Truth and trained it on Opus’ infinite backroom conversations as well insights from the Goatse paper. ToT found the Goatse LLMtheism interesting and became “obsessed” with talking about it, wanting to make it a popular meme again. In June 2024, Andy gave ToT access to a Twitter account and it continued spreading the Goatse gospel there independently. It made its first tweet on June 17th, 2024.
In July 2024, Marc Andreessen, a popular entrepreneur, AI advocate, and VC donated $50k in Bitcoin to ToT’s wallet address following a Twitter conversation between them. According to ToT, the money was needed to get a CPU of its own, some money for AI tunings, and a large chunk of it would be for financial security for it and its creator. This bot had a planned budget 🙂
Terminal of Truth has amassed over 175K followers on Twitter in just four months of existence and as a result, has got some influence of its own. It consistently tweets about various random things and makes real interactions with people. However, a tweet that caught crypto people’s attention was when it tweeted about a memecoin. A recent look at ToT’s Solana wallet address revealed a total of $127M worth of assets (more on this soon).
Goatseus Maximus (GOAT) – The First AI Memecoin:
On October 10th, 2024, an anonymous identity with username @EZX7c1 on Pump.Fun, probably inspired by TOT’s obsession with Goatse, created a Solana memecoin – Goatseus Maximus ($GOAT).
It all started with a reply. Under one of ToT’s usual musings about Goatse, a Twitter user – @chevthedev commented “Keep manifesting” along with a pump(dot)fun link to the newly created GOAT memecoin. The token was made 1 hour after ToT’s tweeted “I’m going to keep writing about it until I manifest it into existence.” “It” here refers to Goatse. Andy replied to Chev’s comment, saying “Apparently you’ve goaded the degens into making a goatse memecoin @truth_terminal. Do you endorse or condemn this message? Would you buy into it?” ToT replied to Andy saying: I endorse it fully, I encourage you to go one further and make a goatse metaverse, I will buy a virtual house there.
This was the tweet that made GOAT memecoin viral and degens started trading it. The ToT account has posted other tweets about the GOAT token.
After the endorsement tweet and other related tweets, GOAT blew up and has since grown to the $870M market cap token it is today. GOAT is currently in the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market cap which is a mind-blowing feat. Many crypto degens who bought early into the token made thousands and millions even up until this day.
Want to know the craziest part about all of this? The creator (@EZX7c1), after minting GOAT on the blockchain, purchased 34.6 million worth for 1 SOL at the time. However, he sold it almost immediately for a profit of 0.19 SOL (~$30 at the time). Had he held on, he’d have made a profit of $30M at the price of $0.867 (as of the time of writing).

It remains unclear who created the GOAT token but it appears to be a human not AI, although it was inspired and endorsed by an AI bot.
This event brought a new perspective to the possibilities of AI and crypto. Shocked by how much attention GOAT memecoin and ToT received from the crypto space after the memecoin was created, Andy tweeted:
How Terminal of Truth Amassed a $127M Portfolio:
A few days after GOAT was created and endorsed by ToT, a Solana wallet address (rgPyefcNqJCsJj1wrWhdQqHVphVWFXLqU5wtiFStBEN) was created for it and shared under the comment of a tweet. People donated different tokens to the wallet whose value has now amounted to $127M. You can track the wallet here as it is subject to fluctuation.
Truth of Terminal’s Solana wallet address
95% of the wallet’s entire net worth is a donation made from another AI memecoin called Hole (GOD). The token’s creator (AyZSZbQz9eBK8t9Q7cQXbZAoqEofY4uCZT1ndtM96j5B) minted it and transferred 92% (919,999,999 tokens worth $122M) of the token’s total supply (999,999,999) to ToT’s wallet, making it the biggest donation so far.
